GPOWER Rouhe® Nanoceramic Aerogel Insulation
A ceramic-fiber-reinforced aerogel composite built for one job: hold back 1000°C+ heat with the thinnest, lightest, most energy-efficient wall possible.
What the material delivers
Representative performance of the GPOWER nanoceramic aerogel family. Exact values are being validated by independent third-party labs (SGS / TÜV class) and will be published in the certified datasheet.
| Property | GPOWER Nanoceramic Aerogel | Notes / target |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum service temperature | 1000°C+ | Long-term, no powdering or shrinkage |
| Thermal conductivity | Ultra-low (aerogel class) | Nano-porous structure blocks conduction, convection & radiation |
| Weight vs refractory brick | 5–10× lighter | Lower structural load, faster handling |
| Energy reduction (field case) | 15–30% | Documented coffee-roaster retrofit |
| Typical payback | 6–18 months | From energy savings alone |
| Fire classification (target) | EN 13501-1 A1 | CE / CPR EN 14303 pathway in progress |
| Fiber chemistry | AES / PCW option | Low-biopersistence; avoids REACH RCF SVHC |
| Form factor | Rolls · Sheets · Cut parts | Custom die-cut & OEM supply available |
Performance figures are representative and based on factory and field testing; certified third-party test reports (thermal conductivity at multiple temperatures, 1000°C aging, fire rating) are in preparation. Figures do not constitute a warranty.

GPOWER vs the materials you use today
The short version: GPOWER sits in the gap between brittle pure aerogel and ordinary ceramic fiber — aerogel-level insulation at ceramic-fiber-level toughness and a fraction of firebrick's weight.
| Criterion | GPOWER Nanoceramic Aerogel | Refractory brick | Traditional ceramic fiber | Pure silica aerogel |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Max service temperature | 1000°C+ | 1200–1600°C | 1000–1260°C (RCF) | 600–1000°C |
| Thermal conductivity | Ultra-low | High | Medium | Lowest |
| Weight | Very light | Very heavy | Light | Light |
| Wall thickness for same R | Thin | Thick | Thick | Thin |
| Energy saving vs brick | 15–30% | baseline | partial | partial |
| Mechanical toughness | Flexible composite | rigid | flexible | brittle |
| EU REACH (RCF) exposure | AES/PCW low-bio option | n/a | RCF = SVHC | n/a |
| Best fit | Hot + thin + light | Massive static walls | General high-temp | Ultra-thin, low-temp |
Comparison is indicative for material selection. RCF (refractory ceramic fibre, CAS 142844-00-6) is listed as a substance of very high concern under EU REACH; GPOWER's AES/PCW option is designed to avoid this exposure.
Which material should I choose?
For most furnaces, kilns and equipment where wall thickness and weight matter, yes — GPOWER delivers equal or better insulation at 5–10× less weight and a much thinner wall. For very high-mass, ultra-high-temperature static structures above 1000°C, we recommend a hybrid design, which our engineers will spec with you.
Same ease of installation, but with aerogel-class thermal conductivity — so you get the same insulation with a thinner layer, or far better insulation at the same thickness, plus an EU-friendly AES/PCW fiber option.
